Social Work Values The student can demonstrate an understanding of the core professional values of social work. The student can demonstrate a genuine acceptance of differences in others. The student can demonstrate an appreciation for the value of diversity. The student can demonstrate respect for the rights of others, including a commitment to clients’ rights and self-determination. Self Awareness The student can identify personal strengths. The student can identify personal limitations and discuss strategies to improve in these areas. The student is willing to examine and change behavior when it interferes with the best interest of clients. Professional Behavior The student can articulate clear goals for the field placement. The student can demonstrate an understanding of professional behavior and its importance in the field placement. The student responds positively to constructive criticism.
