Mr Al Kindy said:
“The industry knows ADIPEC sets the benchmark for thought leadership. Every two years, we offer experts the chance to come forward and contribute value to the international energy knowledge base – and receive international recognition as a published author. “But we honestly did not expect such a huge volume of papers. What is very satisfying for the technical committee is to see such a high level of expertise and willingness to share this knowledge. It underlines how the energy industry is constantly growing. It is excellent to see that the industry clearly attracts a great deal of intellectuals who have helped to foster a sector-wide knowledge sharing culture from which everyone will benefit.”The record number of abstracts has come from 33 countries.
The date for submission of abstracts (April 1) has now passed. Members of the technical committee will now rate and select papers, taking into consideration the quality of the technical information and the regional and technical diversity of the content. With many of the world’s largest oilfields maturing, technological advancement is vital to enable oil producer’s to keep increasing oil and gas production for an ever-growing market. The four day conference, which coincides with the exhibition at Abu Dhabi’s stunning ADNEC venue from November 1-4 2010, promises to witness some of the liveliest discussion and debate –with the overarching topic of
